Cody Rye had a dream to play football all his life. Unfortunately Cody was in a car accident, and he was disabled from the waist down. His cousin and his grandparents were also in the car, but they were not affected to this degree. The passengers in the other car did not make it, and unfortunately died. At the age of 5, doctors told Cody's parents that he will never walk again. With lots of rehabilitation Cody regained some muscles in his legs, but remained to be disabled in the ankles and feet. In high school, Cody became a line backer in the JV football team. He never played offense though. In his Senior Year, Cody played two offensive plays. One of these plays was the final play of the game.
